Mind Body took place within the Hotel Yorba in Detroit, Michigan (2018). Outside of the white cube , the multi-media exhibition explored the contemporary notions of self-care within a transformed room in the hotel. The room was a space of relaxation replete with diffusers, tea, “therapeutic” coloured lights, a small library primarily featuring Women’s Rights and Civil Rights Movements pamphlets which highlighted the care of one’s self as a compliment to an activists’ life.
