Olivia Gilmore, b. 1989 Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a photographer, writer, and curator based in Paris, France.
With a BFA in photography from Parsons the New School (2012), and a MA in History and Philosophy of Art from University of Kent Paris (2021), a recent participant of The Autumn School of Curation (2023), and now as a certificate student at The New Centre for Social Practice in Art & Curatorial Practice (2026), Olivia is passionate about philosophical inquiry as a jumping off point for exhibition and image-making.
Olivia’s work as appeared in The Brooklyn Rail, passerby, Contemporary And (C&), MERDE Magazine, Later Magazine, Université d’été de la Bibliothèque Kandinsky. 7e edition, The Menteur, Runner Magazine, Detroit Art Review, Essay’d, TagTagTag Magazine. She has organized the following exhibitions: MIND BODY (Detroit, 2019) made with grant from Erb Foundation, Work Aesthetic (Detroit, 2018), Chimera at Room Project (Detroit, 2018), & the first international video show, The Present Tense of Space, for TagTagTag Magazine, (Brooklyn, 2014).
In addition, Olivia has an ongoing art and dinner series called Coquillage.
